Terminator: Salvation 100 Word Review

The Hundred Word Review returns! Based on complaints that my posts are too wordy came the idea to do a movie review in exactly 100 words, no more, no less. It’s a lot harder than I thought it would be.

After the utter schlock that was Judgement Day, few of us were looking forward to another Terminator movie. Then, slowly, excitement began to build: The Sarah Connor Chronicles kept brand-awareness high and the announcement of Christian Bale as John Connor was greeted with contented sighs. In the end though, it all amounted to a largely forgettable, if admittedly competent action film. The war concept was well executed, but the best moments came when we returned to the roots of the franchise: an unstoppable cyborg hunting our heroes. More of that (and Summer Glau) would have made for a better movie.
